I was ordained as a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order in June 2023 when I was given the name Sāgaradevī by my preceptor. I regularly teach at the Colchester Buddhist Centre giving Dharma talks as well as teaching meditation and helping to lead retreats.
I have been teaching meditation in secular settings since 2015. This has included university and community settings, face to face and online. I completed meditation teacher training with Zenways (April 2015) and Bangor University (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Level 1, October 2017).
Since 2014 I have regularly arranged contemplative workshops and events to support the development of educators through my leadership of the Contemplative Pedagogy Network. In 2024 I was a member of the contemplative faculty at the Mind and life Europe European Summer Research Institute.
I enjoy designing meditation teaching and contemplative workshops for different audiences and have experience of teaching and facilitating within interfaith contexts.
